COURSE ON LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS FOR EARLY CAREER PSYCHIATRISTS
2 – 5 April 2020 | Sofia, Bulgaria
The course will provide an opportunity for 16 early career psychiatrists to experience a 3-day intensive training program led by two legacies in psychiatry - Prof. Norman Sartorius and Prof. Sir Graham Thornicroft. The primary goal of the course is to boost the professional development and leadership qualities in early career psychiatrists.
The participants must be psychiatric trainees or psychiatrist within 5 years after their specialty exam.
All participants must be fluent in English and will be expected to prepare a poster and an oral presentation for the course.
The course will be held entirely in English. It will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, starting at 16:30 on 2 April 2020 and ending at 13:30 on 5 April 2020.
No participation fee.
Accommodation: provided and covered by the hosts.
Travel costs: to be covered by the participants.
The application for the course is now open. All candidates should send the following documents:
- Curriculum vitae (CV)
- Letter of motivation
- Signed recommendation letter from their institution certifying that they are either psychiatric trainees or psychiatrists within 5 years after becoming specialists
- Proof of fluency in English (certificate or senior colleague's statement that the applicant is fluent in English).
